I apologize for the late review. This home was fantastic for 2 families (total of 9) for the week plus some extra family members who visited for a few days. Location is perfect on the golf course and walking distance to the beach. The golf carts and bikes were much appreciated. The boys loved the game room. The weather was the best ever since we have been vacationing on Fripp Island. We hope to be back again!

We are a group of 15 friends who love kayaking twice a year in the low country. We had the absolute good fortune to rent this lovely home that has every amenity imaginable and some you can't imagine....the owner pays very strict detail to the high quality features of this home.....it is beautifully situated, extremely well maintained inside and out ... the description of the home is well on target and you will sigh with joy when you arrive. The owner is most gracious and wants to make certain everything is perfect for you.......we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a wonderful relaxing vacation in a beautifully decorated home. This is now going to be our permanent vacation rental for our twice a year kayaking adventures. Beaufort Kayak Tours are the best EVER....we would never go with another outfitter.....AND WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE THE DOLPHINS WITH US ON THIS TRIP......the entire vacation was truly a blessed gift for us.....especially Footprints in the Sand. MANY MANY THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR LOVELY HOME WITH US.

All you need is your groceries and your clothing! The rest is taken care of by the home owners! Beautiful home, clean, welcoming, kid friendly, wheelchair friendly. Lots of memories made. We had a great week at the beach. The ocean and tidal pools were enjoyed by all. Fripp Island is the perfect place for a family vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We had our family Reunion here, June 2012, and it was just lovely! We made such special memories, and the house made it possible for us to come and go as we wished. Large enough to all gather for meals, and convenient enough for us to scatter when we needed time away - to the beach, golf, tennis, kayaking, jet skiing, gator hunting. We had 17 people, and that was probably a stretch for sleeping accommodations, but it worked out fine. It really felt like a home away from home, even with so many people under one roof. Thank you for the special place for a special Reunion!

Fantastic!! This was a wonderful home - spacious, clean, updated, and family friendly. We loved the attention to detail. We immediately felt at home. The location on the island was great! We can't wait to go back next year.

We had a wonderful experience in this home. The home itself was extremely spacious and perfect for a large family. Everything we needed was at this home including: golf cart, bikes, wagon, beach chairs, etc. The owner went above and beyond her means to make sure our stay was accommodating and most enjoyable. We have been vacationing on Fripp Island for years and this home was certainly a wonderful addition to our stay!!! We certainly will be returning!!
  • Ro (Isle of Palms)

This was our second stay at Footprints for our women's bookclub and we had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful and comfortable with close access to the beach. The owner is extremely helpful and accomodating - just a great place for a getaway weekend!
  • TK (Charlotte, NC)

We had a wonderful time at Footprints! The house was perfect for our family -- so spacious, relaxing, and clean. We loved the convenience of the beach to the house -- very important with kids. Getting around the island and exploring on the golf cart was fun; probably the kids' most memorable activity! Pat Richman was a delight to deal with. All details about the rental were very well prepared. We would highly recommend this house!

We always love returning to "Footprints", and staying here with family and friends for New Years was another great visit with temps in the 50's and 60's. The home has lots of room with a bright and open feel, comfortable beach decor and fantastic porches overlooking the ocean. The beach here is huge with a gentle slope that's great for children and the access is only a short stroll or more fun golf cart ride. The game room, and use of the golf cart, bikes, beach chairs and toys always provide lots of entertainment. We had a great time crabbing, fishing, golfing and of course sipping drinks on the porch. We can't wait to return.

We are two families with college age children from Ontario, Canada that travel to South Carolina each year at the same time - over the Christmas break. We have rented homes at Hilton Head and Isle of Palms over the years. We agree that our time on Fripp - and Footprints- was the best ever. The pictures of the home do not do it justice - it is beautiful, very clean, with everything you will need for a wonderful vacation. The beach is nice and close and the island was quiet. The owner is very helpful and patient, explaining all of the attractions. I would highly recommend this home and hope to visit again soon!

We've never been to South Carolina beaches before and now can't imagine going anywhere else. Would have to agree with the other comments regarding the owner Pat and the caretaker Hutch. They are both so hospitable and organized that they take care of all the details so you are truly on a worry free vacation.

The house was great with plenty of light and beautiful views whether your on the front of back deck. Each room has great views, ample space and nicely decorated. We loved the beach, the beautiful sand dunes, the golf cart rides around the Island, the bike rides, bocce ball games on the beach, pool hopping to the many pools on the Island and the two golf courses are great. We'd have appetizers on the upstairs deck overlooking the ocean then grill on the back deck and watch the deer and wait for alligator splashings.

All the beaches were very clean and not crowded at all however the beach in front on this house is spectacular - so peaceful and picturesque. We took a boat ride to another little island and saw fresh turtle nestings, we biked to Hunting Island and enjoyed the beautiful sea landscapes, enjoyed 2 hours walks from tip to top each morning...the list could go on and on. Very family friendly Island and house. Great for families and friends - we have many happy memories!
  • Beach lovers

We loved, loved the house. It is very spacious and well equipped with everything you need for cooking and entertaining a large crowd. The gameroom was perfect for our teenage grandsons and our little grandaughters loved riding their bikes on the quiet street. The beach access was only a few houses down and was a wonderful place for walking and flying kites. We have stayed in a lot of houses from Tybee to Pawley's Island and have never been treated with such care and concern for our vacation. The owner called after we arrived to make sure that we had everything we needed and to ask if we were enjoying the house. The battery on the golf cart was going bad. We called the house manager and he was there immediately to replace it. Now I call that service!

This was our third time to Fripp. This was by far the best house we have stayed at. Pat and Hutch are awesome. By far Pat is the most attentive owner we've had the pleasure to know. The house was perfect for 6 adults and 4 kids. By far the cleanst house we've ever vacationed at. Emaculate!! Very nice to have a golf cart included. I've completely enjoyed my stay. The most relaxing in a long time. Dr. Greene. 10/2/10-10-9/10.

The owner was very helpful. She provided us with any phone numbers we might need during our stay and called within 24 hours of our arrival to make sure we found the house in good condition and everything in working order. The house is comfortable and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the upper front porch--a nice place to congregate in the evening and enjoy the ocean breeze. We all enjoyed watching the deer who came into the yard on a daily basis. A treat for the adults as well as the children.

The house had everything our party of six needed on our five day stay at Fripp. The house is very accommodating we also found everything to be so convenient. The house is so close to the beach that we could make trips throughout the day on the golf cart or walk and not miss out on anything. The booking process was made easy by Pat, she is great to work with. The questions I sent via email were all responded to within a couple of hours. I highly recommend this house.

Great house: location, decor, bedroom/bathroom layout are wonderful. Large kitchen and dining area for multiple family meals. Owner is informative and accommodating.

What a delightful time we (5 couples) had during a 5 night stay at Footprints. Lots of great food, fellowship, games, watching deer, golf carting over every inch of the island and simply enjoying the wonderful and spacious house. Thanks to Pat for all of her helpful ways in making our vacation so memorable.
  • Carrie (Richmond, KY)

We stayed in mid-July and had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious and welcoming and is fully stocked with everything! The owner is very helpful and a pleasure to book with! Great beach access! We loved Fripp and plan to return!
  • Annie (los angeles, ca)

We had a wonderful time in the house, which has a very well set up kitchen, and makes it easy to do meals for a large family group. Beach was very close, the golf cart was wonderful in enhancing the mobility of our older family members. Beach area is very conducive to sitting and to long walks or hikes, and walking way out to the sand bar in low tide was a thrill for all of us. A great house with a wonderful living room vibe. Bedrooms are also very comfortable. We hope to visit the low country and your place again!
  • Susanne and Erik (Atlanta, GA)

Wonderful location and great house to relax in. Lovely to be on the golf course and just a minute ride by bike to the beach. We loved our Fripp vacation and can't wait until next year!

This was our fourth time to Fripp Island. This was our favorite house. We had 5 adults and 4 children. It was very comfortable and cheerful. We loved the front porches (upstairs and downstairs). The owner is very pleasant and helpful. We'll be back!

Footprints was a perfect house for an annual gathering of The Same Sweet Girls, and everyone still raves about it. There is ample room for everyone, in a beautiful house with a great view! Girlfriend groups: Take our advice and have your next gathering on Fripp Island, at Footprints.

Our family had a wonderful vacation on Fripp island. The owner was a pleasure to work with (I feel like I made a new friend!) she is very accommodating, and everything was exactly as stated in the home's description. The home is spacious and conveniently located to the beach access. We highly recommend this home on Fripp Island! it is especially easy and family-friendly! We'll be back for certain!

Three generations of our family stayed at Footprints for the July 4th week. We had a wonderful week in this beautiful home. The home was well equipped with linens and kitchen equipment. The bedrooms all have great decorations and the jack and jill baths worked well for everyone. We hope to return soon.

Footprints was the perfect getaway. Clean, very beautiful, very relaxing and just a great vacation home to want to come "home" to, after a day of touring. We took many day trips, some just steps to the fantastic beach and some in another state! and we were happy to come home to Footprints. We plan on revisiting. Great fun and we loved having access to all of the island amenities - thank you Footprints! Awesome.
  • The Young Family

Our family recently stayed at Footprints in the Sand located on one of the most gorgeous islands along the East coast. The house is beautifully furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. We especially enjoyed the convenient grill on the deck. All the bedrooms are bright and cheerful and the views of the ocean and golf course are lovely. It was fun to wave at our family when they passed by the house during their round of golf! This beautiful home is located within easy walking distance of the nicest beach access on the island. The owner is friendly and very easy to communicate with. We are looking forward to our next stay in Footprints in the Sand and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends!
